Kelli Burgdorf

Kelli, a proud Cobb County native, graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School, where she first discovered girls lacrosse and played for several seasons, sparking her love for the game. Now a mom of two, she signed her son up for Hoya Youth Lacrosse — and that’s when the real fun began! Spending time at the field with him and connecting with the Hoya community reminded her how special the sport truly is. Her passion for the game and the players inspired her to join the coaching staff, and she is now in her third season coaching the boys U9 team. Coach Kelli loves creating lasting memories both on and off the field with her son and his teammates. She believes in making every practice and game a positive experience, helping young athletes learn, grow, and fall in love with lacrosse just like she did.

IRA BLUMENTHAL

Ira Blumenthal, known as Coach B, brings a lifetime of lacrosse experience and passion to the HOYA Youth Lacrosse program. Raised on Long Island, NY — a true lacrosse hotbed — Coach B has been dedicated to the game for over 65 years as a player, coach, and national ambassador. His remarkable resume includes being part of a Division I national championship team at the University of Maryland, co-founding the Major Indoor Lacrosse League, coaching at Towson University and Kennesaw State, earning national “Coach of the Year” honors, and helping launch Harrison High School Lacrosse in 1998. In 2023, he joined HOYA Youth Lacrosse to coach his grandson, Benny, and continue inspiring young players. Off the field, Ira is a successful businessman, longtime Coca-Cola consultant, best-selling author, columnist, and international speaker. He and his wife Kim have been married for 43 years and cherish their five children and fourteen grandchildren.

GREG WOZNIAK

Greg Wozniak, affectionately known as “Coach Greg,” is excited to continue working alongside Coach B and the dedicated staff who have built the strong foundation of Hoya Lacrosse. This season, he’s especially thrilled to move up with the players from 2nd and 3rd grade to the challenge of full-field play with the 4th and 5th grade team.

A former collegiate athlete at the University of Findlay, Greg brings energy, commitment, and a love for teaching kids both on and off the field. Together with his wife Bess, he proudly serves as Co-President of the Association, helping the program grow and thrive for families in the community.

His favorite part of coaching is learning the game right alongside the kids — and sharing the field with his favorite player of all, his son Declan, who inspires him every day to keep the game fun and positive for everyone.

Tyler Ebersold

Tyler has been coaching with the Hoyas for two years and is excited to continue giving back to the program that helped shape his love for the game.

He began playing U13 lacrosse and went on to play four years at Kennesaw Mountain High School, graduating in 2020. After high school, Tyler played a season at Kennesaw State University while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, which he completed in 2023. He is currently continuing his studies at KSU, working toward his Master’s in Computer Science.

Tyler enjoys helping young players develop their skills, confidence, and passion for lacrosse, just as his coaches did for him. He believes in creating a positive, supportive environment where players can learn, grow, and build lasting friendships on and off the field.

He looks forward to another great season with the Hoyas!

Tim Coons

Tim Coons is excited to join the Harrison Lacrosse community and help grow this respected program.

He brings years of coaching experience in youth basketball, football, women’s varsity soccer, and lacrosse. Tim founded “Celtic Lacrosse” in Cobb County, expanding local teams from 17 players to multiple age groups. He’s coached U13 Thunder Boys Lacrosse, co-directed Shootout for Soldiers Atlanta to support veterans, and helped lead Kennesaw State University’s men’s lacrosse team to its first three SELC Championships.

Tim believes a coach should be a mentor and role model on and off the field, teaching integrity, respect, teamwork, and the traditions of The Creator’s Game. He wants every player to be a good teammate, fierce competitor, and gracious sportsman.

Tim looks forward to working with Harrison’s players and families to build skills, character, and a lifelong love for lacrosse.

Ryan Doering

Ryan Doering has been passionate about lacrosse since picking up a stick in 4th grade. He played competitively throughout middle and high school, developing a deep love for the game and a strong understanding of teamwork and leadership. In Spring 2025, Ryan made the leap into coaching — and made an immediate impact. In his very first season, he helped lead a 6th–8th grade team to a championship title, bringing energy, focus, and a player-first mindset to the sideline. Ryan is excited to continue growing as a coach and giving back to the sport that shaped so much of his life. He’s especially passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, develop skills, and discover their own love for the game.

Clayton Hamby

Clayton Hamby has dedicated over eight years to playing lacrosse and more than four years to coaching the sport he loves. A standout on the field, he’s a two-time MCLA All-Conference player and twice named to the All Southeastern MCLA Tournament Team. Clayton was part of two MCLA Divisional Southeastern Conference Championship teams and earned All-County honors three times in high school, where he was also a four-time varsity letterman. His individual accolades include being named Southside Holiday Classic Tournament MVP and winning an IMG Nationals Championship. Clayton brings his passion, experience, and winning mindset to every team he coaches.
